I’ll be running a half-day retreat – a quiet morning of reading and (if you want to) writing – at St Stephen’s Church in Exeter early in 2025. Whatever your interest in poetry – beginner or expert, a writer or a reader – you’ll be most welcome to browse a well-curated selection of books chosen from my own poetry shelves. It’ll be a relaxed morning, with tea, coffee and biscuits on hand. There will be a chance to share any new favourite poems you find – and for the poets among you, some books will contain prompts to inspire your own writing. I’ll also be offering a small handful of 1:1 slots where I’ll ‘prescribe’ a poem you might like, or a writing exercise you might enjoy, based upon what you tell me.
